OPERATION:  This 15-minute video is meant to be part of a more comprehensive training session that covers all aspects of safety associated with log truck operation. One log truck dealer has chosen to provide it to all individuals who have purchased truck-mounted loaders, as a visual supplement to the Operating Manual.  This video, in itself, is not meant to replace a training program but rather to serve as an awareness tool.

To the best of our knowledge, this video is the first of its kind.  The Forest Industry Safety and Training Alliance (FISTA) has been conducting Log Truck Safety workshops for over 10 years, and until the appearance of this video we have been unable to find any specific audio-visual materials on truck-mounted loader safety.

A major benefit of this video is having a major part of log truck operation addressed in an inclusive visual presentation, which has proven to be an integral part of a broader log truck safety training session or one-hour workshop addressing loader safety, specifically.  Another benefit is having these videos available for log truck/loader dealers to use in conjunction with other informational/training materials for their customers or for log trucking companies to use as a training tool for new and existing employees alike.

"This FRA video and training guide is excellent and should be a documented requirement of any log loader operator safety program." - Harry Newman, Safety and Training Coordinator with V&H, Inc.

"We are extremely happy with the information contained in the DVD. We use it with every loader delivered-new or used."  - Maggie Schoenfeld, Marketing Director, Scaffidi
